I am absolutely delighted with the level of care i received from Mr Alibhai and his team at the Royal London Hospital & UCLH. At the very first consultation, Mr Alibhai explained the doagnosis; an adontogenic ameloblastoma had presented intself in the lower left mandible compromising 5 teeth, the surrounding bone, soft tissue and nerves. It called for immediate surgical intervention. We discussed the surgery in intracite detail including  what the procedure entails and the risks involved i.e. loss of teeth, damage to the sensory nerve, the risk of reoccurrance, the risk of fracturing the lower border, post surgery care etc. It was a lot to take in and I had a lot of questions; all of which were thoroughly answered leaving nothing to ambiguity. Mr Alibhai painted a comprehensive picture of the treatment plan from start to finish. We spoke about the use of dentures in the short-term to the permanent long-term solution of surgically grafting bone from the hip and inserting dental implants. 3 weeks after the initial consultation, I was wheeled in to theatre where Mr Alibhai worked his magic. The tumor had been completely excised and the lower border kept intact. To my delight, he also managed to save the sensory nerve and preserve 2 of the 5 effected teeth giving me much better quality of life. 2 months on and my face looks no different, I'm eating normally again, I've regained 90% of the feeling i lost in my lips and chin and Mr Alibhai has referred me to get my dentures. I am delighted with the results and couldn't have asked for a better surgeon to lead my care.

I was referred to Mustansir Alibhai following a diagnosis of Oral Cancer. From the very first consultation, he put me at ease and gave me detailed information about treatment options and prognosis. He was always positive and professional. My surgery went ahead within three weeks of my diagnosis. I had a partial glossectomy (approximately 1/3rd of my tongue removed) and selective neck dissection. The entire team at UCHL were excellent. I received the best possible care from Mr Alibhai and his surgical team. My post op care has also been exemplary. Throughout, what was a very scary period, Mr Alibhai has provided all of the help and support that I could have asked for.

I am a patient of Mr Alibhai at UCHL & could not ask for a better surgeon. I was referred to him in very sudden circumstances with cancer of the tongue. He was very informative and has a very reassuring manner. I am now on the road to recovery thanks to his skill & expertise. His team & the staff at UCHL are equally as good. My family & I are most grateful to have such an excellent surgeon who went beyond his duty to ensure I received the best care.
